Bill Schultheis
With a degree in forest management Bill has been involved in several areas that
have focused on environmental activism. In the 1960-70's, he was active in the
local chapter of the Sierra Club and served as Chairperson for several terms. In
the 80"s he served as a member and Chair of the Wild Lands Advisory Council
to the DNR board. Duties were to review and recommend changes in the master planning of DNR administered state lands (over 400 plans). Most recently he
served several terms on the Board of the River Alliance of Wisconsin and now
serves as emeritus member.
During most of his working career Bill was self-employed as a business owner.
He’s retired now but stays active. Depending upon the season, you will find him either snow skiing, fishing, canoeing (white or flat water), or simply hiking or
biking. Bill joined the STCP Board in 2013.
